Send text messages to mutual followers. Block or report accounts at any time.
Custom servers
Connect to a private server, save its name and address, and return later.
SELF-HOSTING
Run a private Rated server.
Private servers use Cloudflare Workers and D1. Server owners control the catalogue, suggestions, moderation, and user reports.
Create a D1 database
Create a database in Cloudflare and keep its database ID available for the Worker configuration.
Apply the schema
Run the base schema followed by migrations 002 and 003. Use migration 001 only for older databases missing the guest-review hash column.
Deploy the Worker
Bind D1 as DB, set the server name and private mode, then configure the two required secrets.
Connect Rated
Open the Worker URL in Rated and add it to your saved custom servers.
Android and browser versions
The Android application remains the primary mobile experience. The browser version is available at /app for users on other platforms.
Safety and moderation
Direct messages are restricted to mutual followers. Blocking removes both follow links and prevents profile and message access. Server administrators can review account reports.
